crayon art

You can find this project all over Pinterest and other sites where crafters abound. Here is how we did it:


step one: Glue crayons in a row along the top of a canvas. (thanks for the help, Po Po!)


step two: Aim your blowdryer and watch the crayons melt!


a few things to note: If you use a standard blowdryer like we did, be prepared for some splatter. I like the effect on the canvas, but not so much on my kitchen cabinets. Also, be sure to attach brackets to the canvas for hanging before you begin the project. I forgot to and will be using velcro to hang ours (because I'm not going near it with a hammer now.)
