three days old

There are no words to describe the intensity of emotions we have been feeling as we watch God's hand in the life of our sweet baby girl.

Tabitha is doing just great. She hasn't required oxygen at all and her Apgar scores were 8 and 9 when she zipped into the world! She is now being fed three ways: by NG tube, by bottle, and through nursing. Starting today, she is receiving breast milk only (instead of preemie formula) and is being weaned from TPN. My, our God is good. She still tires really, really easily, so the tube feedings are likely to continue for a bit.
Today, Tabitha received a new pair of space-age sunglasses to go along with the addition of a Bilirubin light above her incubator. Hopefully, she won't need the lights for long and can be weaned from the heat of the incubator next. (All in God's timing...we trust Him completely.)

LOL she's not impressed with those sunglasses is she? Such a fighter, she's not going to need them OR the NG tube long! Keep up the good work Tabitha!

Congratulations! I am so glad that everything is going so well. I bet you're counting down the days until Tabitha can come home. I'm very happy to hear the good news!
